Tiémoué Bakayoko – 2/10 (midfielder, released)

Apparently, it’s hard to believe that the Frenchman is still a Chelsea player. However, he was recently released by the West London club.

Tiémoué Bakayoko’s loan spell at AC Milan in 2022-2023 was very poor. Unfortunately, he’s expected to join the Blues players for the pre-season.

He played just three games (39 minutes in total) for the Rossoneri in all competitions last campaign. He mostly played as a substitute, with no impact on the pitch.

It’s unlikely that Mauricio Pochettino will keep Tiémoué Bakayoko next season. Because he’s completely different from that brilliant midfielder they signed from Monaco six years ago.

The Frenchman is known for his struggle to pass and dribble. Also, he does give away the ball cheaply to the opponent. His loan spell at AC Milan was very bad.

Malang Sarr – 4/10 (defender)

The 24-year-old French centre-back was unlucky throughout his loan spell at Monaco. He didn’t add anything positive to the team’s defensive performance.

Malang Sarr played just 13 matches (8 starts) in Ligue 1 for Monaco. However, as a centre-back, he kept just one clean sheet for the French side.

Of course, Monaco were very poor in all competitions in the 2022-2023 campaign. Nevertheless, the Blues loanee didn’t add anything to the team’s display.

The French club is expected to trigger the option-to-buy attached to the loan. However, he will also join the West London club for their pre-season in July.

Frankly, Sarr is most likely to leave Chelsea as a free agent in the summer. Because his contract expires at the end of June with no extension talks in place.

Baba Rahman – 4/10 (defender)

Of course, the 28-year-old Ghanaian is such a fine left-back. Meanwhile, his loan spell was cut short because of long-term and back-to-back injuries.

Speaking of Chelsea loaned players ratings. Baba Rahman showed his defensive quality last season, but his display dropped drastically in the 2022-2023 season.

It’s obvious that he was sidelined many times because of injury woes. Nevertheless, he didn’t add so much to Reading’s defensive performance in the league.

Baba Rahman made just six appearances from December to February. He’s unlikely to find favor with Mauricio Pochettino during the preseason.

The 18-year-old Englishman previously played as a striker. However, he moved to the midfield last campaign, showing his potential and promises.

Meanwhile, his loan spell in the second phase of the 2022-2023 season didn’t go well with the Canaries. Luckily, he’s a player with a high ceiling.

Alex Matos physical capabilities are really extraordinary. Despite being a midfielder, he has the ability to take down defenders in a 1v1 situation.

Regardless of his loan spell. His success at Chelsea revolves around development. The talent is there, but it’s still raw and needs to be polished.
