Unbelievably, one of Chelsea loanee has won the Young Player of the Month award for September. He dazzled impressively in their league throughout last month.
Apparently, the West London club have more than 10 players on loan this season. Which includes many players who performed excellently during their USA pre-season tour.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have many brilliant and talented players. As a result, they chose to loan out some youngsters, so as to have enough experience this campaign.
Chelsea loanees like Andrey Santos, David Datro Fofana, and the rest aren’t getting enough playing time. However, others are seriously making headlines at their respective clubs.
In all fairness, Mauricio Pochettino will have a hard time choosing his starting XI next campaign. Because many of the Blues loaned players are dazzling impressively.
Lesley Ugochukwu and Deivid Washington stayed with the first-team. Meanwhile, the Brazilian youngster has yet to make any appearances under the Argentine gaffer.
Meanwhile, Ângelo Gabriel has been named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month of September. He dazzled outstandingly throughout last month for Strasbourg.
At first, Patrick Vieira doesn’t trust the 18-year-old Brazilian. However, he’s now part of the manager’s starting XI, playing back-to-back 90 minutes for the French side.
Ângelo Gabriel was loaned to Strasbourg because of Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke. Of course, the club believes he needs more time to gather experience.
Unfortunately, he’s currently making more waves than Sterling and Madueke. Gabriel would have a massive boost for the Blues if he stayed with Mauricio Pochettino’s troops.
The 18-year-old Brazilian is yet to score for Strasbourg. However, he registered an assist against Metz in the league in September. So, he actually deserves the Young POTM.
While Chelsea are struggling offensively with many attackers in the squad. Ângelo Gabriel is currently averaging 1.2 key passes and 1.7 dribble success for Strasbourg this season.
The Brazilian youngster created many chances for Patrick Vieira’s side in September. Frankly, he single-handedly won some games for the Ligue 1 side.
