Today’s Arsenal News: Arsenal keeping tabs on 22-year-old striker as Ivan Toney alternative

The Gunners are obviously planning to move for Ivan Toney in January, as regards today’s Arsenal news. However, they would have to go through Chelsea to get his signature.

At the moment, the North London club have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah as strikers. Nevertheless, they want to boost their attack next year.

Therefore, both Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in Ivan Toney of Brentford. Meanwhile, they are most likely to pay up to £80 million to get his signature in the January transfer window.

Of course, the Englishman is currently on a six-month ban due to gambling. However, the central-forward will be playing again in 2024. And he’s most unlikely to stay with the Bees.

Brentford are reportedly reluctant to sell Ivan Toney in January. Regardless, his contract expires at the end of the 2023-2024 campaign. Which means they wouldn’t want to lose him for free.

Since Chelsea are also interested in signing the Englishman. The Gunners have been keeping tabs on a 22-year-old striker as an alternative to the Bees striker.

Mykhailo Mudryk chose Chelsea over Arsenal last summer. Therefore, the Gunners don’t want to settle for less next year, as they hope to reinforce their attack.

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Santiago Giménez of Feyenoord, as per today’s Arsenal news. The North London club sees him as an alternative to Ivan Toney.

After signing some players during the summer’s transfer window. The Gunners would have to balance their Financial Fair Play book, so as to stay afloat in the next transfer windows.

Therefore, Mikel Arteta’s side would have to sell some of their attackers next year. The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson may be sacrificed for the player’s arrival.

Since Ivan Toney may be expensive in the January transfer window. The Gunners are monitoring the 22-year-old striker, as regards today’s Arsenal news.

Santiago Giménez is indeed a goal-machine, having seen his all-around statistics. The 22-year-old Mexican central-forward is already making waves this season.

The Mexican international has already scored 9 goals and registered 2 assists for Feyenoord this season. He’s single-handedly destroying many teams in Eredivisie.

Giménez may not be a big name as Ivan Toney of Brentford. However, his finishing and positioning skills are amazing as a striker. He’s averaging 1.5 goals per 90 this campaign.

Simply put, Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Santiago Giménez of Feyenoord. They see him as an alternative to Ivan Toney, as regards today’s Arsenal news.
