The English Premier League is one of the toughest leagues in Europe. In all fairness, It’s tougher than the likes of the Bundesliga and La Liga, considering how they do face one another in the league.

Several records were broken in the Premier League last season. Of course, Manchester City and Erling Haaland broke many records, making themselves unstoppable in all competitions last campaign.

However, the Norwegian youngster couldn’t smash some records. Frankly, he would be looking forward to breaking some this season, having scored a brace in his first EPL game this season against Burnley.

Nevertheless, the league doesn’t respect anyone. As a result, some Premier League records that can never be broken. Because those types don’t happen often in the league.

Many brilliant and talented players have played in the EPL, and some are still playing. However, these records have been unbroken for many years in Premier League history.

10. Fastest hat-trick in the league’s history; Sadio Mané

The Senegalese attacker held the record for the fastest hat-trick in EPL history. Of course, the record has been unbroken for many years in the Premier League.

It was during his time at Southampton, before joining Liverpool. Sadio Mané scored a 2-minute and 56-second hat-trick against Aston Villa in May 2015.

Unbelievably, the first goal was scored in the 13th minute. Meanwhile, the next 2 goals happened within two minutes. It’s such an unbreakable record in Southampton’s history.

9. Most away games defeat in the league; Burnley 

The Clarets were very poor in the 2009-2010 season in the Premier League. As a result, they created an awful record in the league’s history, which literally remains unbreakable.

In that campaign, Burnley lost 17 away league games out of 19. Therefore, they finished in the 18th position in the league table, relegating them to the Championship.

Surprisingly, they managed to claim one win in 2009-2010, which was against Hull City. And they drew against Manchester City, losing the remaining 17 away matches.

8. Fewest goals conceded in the league; Chelsea

The West London club had the best defensive campaign in 2004-2005 under José Mourinho. This is one of the Premier League records that can never be broken.

Chelsea conceded just 15 goals in the league in 2004-2005. Meanwhile, that allowed Petr Cech to keep 24 clean sheets that season, showing off his goalkeeping skills.

Amazingly, the clean sheet record created by Petr Cech remains unbroken in the league. José Mourinho’s men were unstoppable in the 2004-2005 season.

7. Fewest points won in a season; Derby County

Derby County wouldn’t want to replicate what happened to them in the 2007/2008 campaign. They created something historic, but not positively as a club.

They finished in 20th place in the league table last season. Derby were able to claim just 11 points in the whole campaign, which didn’t look good.

Frankly, Derby County grabbed just one win in their 38 Premier League games in 2007-2008. Of course, that’s an unbreakable record for the English side.

6. Most consecutive games played; Brad Friedel

Speaking of Premier League records that can never be broken. This is one of the most impossible records to replicate in the league’s history, considering everything that’s involved.

Brad Friedel held the record for the most consecutive games played in the league. He made 310 back-to-back appearances in the Premier League from 2004 to 2012.

The USA goalkeeper played for Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Blackburn Rovers. Frankly, he holds one of the craziest records in the league.

5. Most points won in a season; Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has created and broken many records in the league since his arrival. He has literally won many trophies for the Citizens in all competitions.

Manchester City currently hold the record for the most points won in a season. They claimed 100 points in the 2017-2018 season in the Premier League.

Of course, Liverpool came close to smashing the record, grabbing 99 points. However, they weren’t able to take over the Citizens record in the league.

4. 20 goals and 20 assists in a single season; Thierry Henry

The Frenchman remains unforgettable in Arsenal’s history. He single-handedly created and won many games for the North London club during his time at the club.

For prolific attackers or strikers, scoring 20 goals in the league may come easy. However, adding 20 assists to the statistics looks insane for a player.

Nevertheless, Thierry Henry was able to score 20 goals and record 20 assists in 2002-2003. Of course, the record remains unbreakable in the league’s history.

3. Smallest trophy-winning margin; Manchester City & Manchester United

Obviously, the Manchester Derby doesn’t usually come easily for both sides. Because they usually face each other with a high level of winning spirit.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Manchester City once played their last PL games tied at the same point. It was such a dramatic 90 minutes for the two clubs.

However, the Citizens later won the league title with just an 8-goal difference. They finished that campaign with the same points as the Red Devils.

2. Longest unbeaten streak in the league; Arsenal

Apparently, this is one of the famous Premier League records that can never be broken. The Gunners are still holding the record to date.

Arsenal had a 49-game unbeaten streak in the league, from May 2003 to October 2004. They were literally named “The Invincible” in that particular season.

Despite the fact that Pep Guardiola keeps making headlines at Manchester City. He has never come close to smashing the record since his arrival in the league.

1. Most points won in a season without the title; Liverpool

The Reds and the Citizens have been amazing recently in the Premier League. However, the 2023-2024 season may be different for the two teams.

In the 2018-2019 campaign, Manchester City lifted the league title with 98 points. Meanwhile, Liverpool also finished the season with 97 points.

Regardless, the Reds missed out on winning the Premier League title. As a result, Manchester City won the trophy with just one point difference between the two sides.
