West Ham vs Man City ended in a square 2-2 at the London Stadium today. And the Hammers secured a point to stay close to the top-6 in the Premier League table. Of course, the Pep Guardiola’s men would have won the game. But, Riyad Mahrez missed a late penalty. And he was the lastest scapegoat for City lost of 3 points.
Apparently, Manchester City are still keeping their Premier League title hope alive. Because they are still one point above Liverpool in the league table. Meanwhile, the Pep Guardiola’s men final match is Aston Villa. Frankly, the game is already a win-win for the Sky Blues, so they are expected to win the EPL trophy.
Both teams dazzled amazingly in the West Ham vs Man City clash. However, not all the players performed very well, which means some footballers were poor in performance. As a result, the players below are the best and worst from the match, even though the Hammers didn’t make it easy for the Pep Guardiola’s men.
West Ham vs Man City – Best Players
Jarrod Bowen – West Ham
The David Moyes man continued his brilliant form at the London Stadium today. He was a nightmare for Manchester City defenders. Jarrod Bowen scored two goals, and he has 4 shots, 100% dribbles, 5 duels won and 2 crosses. Of course, the Englishman has improved massively, and he’s helping the team’s performance this season.
Jack Grealish – Manchester City
The Englishman did make a name for himself this afternoon. Jack Grealish gave the Pep Guardiola’s men a lead, and played a significant role on the pitch. Statistically speaking, the former Aston Villa attacking player scored one goal. He had 5 shots, 3 key passes, 100% dribbles, 100% long balls, 7 duels won and was fouled 2 times. Manchester City wouldn’t have made a comeback, if not for Grealish. So, he was the best player on the pitch.
West Ham vs Man City – Worst Players
Vladimír Coufal – West Ham
The Hammers’ right-back scored an own goal against Manchester City. As he literally dampened the team’s performance to claim 3 points. Vladimír Coufal was poor defensively, as he had 0 tackles and 0 interceptions. Also, the Czech football player had 0 ground and aerial duels, 0 key passes, and was dribbled past twice. Of course, Jack Grealish didn’t make it easy for Coufal. So, he was literally one of the worst players on the pitch.
Ederson – Manchester City
The Brazilian stopper was quite poor against West Ham United, as he conceded two goals in the first-half. Apparently, Ederson has been fantastic for the Sky Blues, since the beginning of the season. However, he was awful today, as he had 0 saves throughout the 90 minutes. Aside from that, the Brazilian goalkeeper also had 0 saves inside the box, 0 punches and 0 high claims. In all fairness, Ederson should be held responsible for Manchester City’s 2-2 draw against the Hammers.
